  • Drug Court
    Drug Court Program is a treatment-centered system that assists juveniles and their families with substance abuse problems and assists in leading productive, substance-free, and crime-free lives.

  • Family in Need of Services (FINS)

  • Intake
    Intake & Assessment serves as intake to the juvenile justice system and assesses all youth arrested with an objective decision-making tool or Risk Assessment Instrument (RAI) to ensure fairness in the process, reduce disparities in the system, and assess risk to ensure high-risk youth who pose a risk to public safety are removed from the community.

  • Juvenile Justice Model Court Project
    Orleans Parish Juvenile Court (OPJC) has made a commitment toward improving its handling of juvenile delinquency cases by joining the Juvenile Justice Model Courts Project of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ).

  • Orleans Detention Alternative Program (ODAP)
    ODAP is a pre-adjudication alternative to a detention program that seeks to ensure that youth will return for court appearances and not re-offend while under supervision.

  • Restitution/Community Service
    The main goals of restitution and community service programs are to hold offenders personally accountable for their crimes and to make reparations to victims either directly or indirectly.

  • Girls Reaching Out Works Wonders (GROWW)
    GROWW is an evidenced-based program designed to provide an educational and inspirational environment for low to medium-at-risk female youth currently involved with the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court. It serves as an alternative to detention, intervention, and/or prevention program for pre-adjudicated female youth, status offenders, and post-adjudication female youth. It incorporates the most effective methods of monitoring female youth while holding them accountable as they continue to be engaged with school and relationships with their families and communities.

  • Men Engaging in Leadership and Opportunity Works (MELOW)
    MELOW is a pre-adjudicatory program designed to serve as an alternative to secure detention, intervention/prevention course of action, and mentoring program for teen male status offenders and post-adjudication probation teen males. The mission of the MELOW Program is to provide additional support to at-risk youth who are involved in delinquent and/or high-risk behaviors. The overall goal of the MELOW Program is to provide a safe and structured environment for youth after school and until bedtime hours, which is normally the peak hours in which youth participate in delinquent activities.

  • Paving Alternative Strategies for Success (PASS)
    PASS is an intervention program for students who are at risk of being charged with committing a criminal offense on school grounds. The goal of the program is to reduce the number of youth being arrested while attending school by addressing offenses that occur in schools without the youth being introduced to the juvenile/criminal justice system. PASS works to assist students and their families with identifying resources to prevent the youth from entering the juvenile justice system.

  • Teen Court
    Teen court is an evidenced-based program designed for youth ages 14 to 17 who are first-time offenders that have admitted responsibility for a misdemeanor offense and have consented to be represented and sentenced by a jury of their peers.
